GEORGE TOWN: It is not every day one gets to meet a beauty queen.

Some 50 representatives of Avon Cosmetics (M) Sdn Bhd and their families had a close-up encounter with Miss World Malaysia 2008/9 Soo Wincci.

Soo is the ambassador for Avon's Anew Skincare range.

The get-together was held at Avon Enzed Beauty Boutique in Jalan Sungai Dua, here.

It was attended by the top performing skincare sellers in the second quarter of this year.

The new range, Anew White, has received a good response.

Wincci performed two of her favourite songs, Bukan Cinta Biasa and Cinta Abadi.

Some of the guests joined her on stage.

Wincci speaks five languages and has a law degree and a master's degree in business studies.

Her talents also include acting and singing, with an album under her belt.

"Her beauty, flawless skin and easy-going personality made her the ideal candidate to stand behind a brand that is specially for ladies who dream of having beautiful skin at any age," said Avon public relations manager Elaine Aisyah.

Wincci said she was happy to meet so many of her well-wishers in Penang and see new faces.

Enzed Boutique owner Noraini Zahid received an award for her top sales performance.

Also present were Avon division manager Kartini Abdul Rahman and zone manager (North) Sharifah Jamilah.
